WARNING ! ! !
BAND BLADES, EVEN DULL ONES,
ARE VERY SHARP AND CAN CAUSE SEVERE CUTS.
EXTREME CAUTION SHOULD BE EXERCISED WHEN HANDLING BLADES.
Putting on new blades:
- To put on new blades, remove the pivot bolt from the hone support shaft and swing it down and out of the way.
- Insert the slotted end of the machine crank in the hole and back out the lower stub shaft until a 1" gap shows
between the bearing housing and the drum support. Back out the upper stub shaft in the same manner.
- Put the new blades on the slicer. Place the end of the blade on the upper drum, the scallop point should face the
opposite direction as the blades that were removed from the machine. Rotate the blade 180° and place the other
end of the blade on the lower drum. Work the blade across the drum and place it in the guide. Repeat for the rest
of the blades. Insure that all of the blades are in the correct guides and that none of them are crossed or out of
the guides. Screw in the upper and lower drum stub shafts. Replace the pivot bolt in the hone support shaft.
