We surveyed the baking industry in 1999 asking what you wanted in a slicing blade.
You told us you wanted a blade to slice your product no matter what it was, firm,
soft, hard crust, soft crust, pan, hearth, fat, no fat, continuous mix, or small batch.
We tried for one blade but ended up with two, The LaZer and LaZer +. If a blade is used correctly it should slice approximately 1.2 million loaves of standard white bread. Our Laser grinders give us the only continuous grind used in the baking industry, which is the slickest grind available. With the addition of the + grind the scallop shoulder is removed from the blade and allows it to flow through the softest white bread produced. We believe that our LaZer Blades are the finest blades in the world but we couldn't make these hand made blades if it wasn't for the finest people in the world making them. Automatic processes are not used at Bettendorf Stanford on our products. We believe, as the Germans do, that HAND MADE is synonymous with FINEST MADE. |
